What’s so great about the Rigel Kosmos?

This binocular is great for long range observation in any light but it comes into its own at night when used for astronomy! The views are bright and faint targets seem to just pop out of the dark. It's probably one of the lightest large aperture bino of its type available - certainly one of the lightest we have ever encountered.

Normally a binocular of this size and power would have to be tripod mounted but the Kosmos is light enough to hand hold - you'll need to be seated in a comfortable deck-chair or reclining lounger. Delivering sharp views across field of view, the Kosmos is a great way of scanning the deep-sky for nebulae, galaxies and comets etc.

The 15x70 Kosmos has rigid aluminium prism bodies but where possible lightweight ABS has been used to cut the overall weight. And it works brilliantly - the binocular is light enough to rest on your eyes or glasses (OK, not literally 'on your eyes' but the soft eyecups can be rested against the lids and soft tissue around the eye without fatigue of discomfort.

Supplied with pouch case, straps, front lens caps and one-piece rubber eyepiece rain-guard.
